Situated between mountain, sea and city on the edge of the North Atlantic, our surroundings have given us a unique understanding of form and function, shaping our design beliefs. Each garment is a response to our environment, a merging of the old and the new, traditional Irish silhouettes with high-quality, sustainable and technical fabrics.

Manufacturing

We work with an ethical manufacturer based in Porto, Portugal. The manufacturer holds both BSCI and GRS certificates, meaning Thach jackets are made by experienced workers in a safe working environment.

Design

The Márta Overcoat has been 2 years in the making. Our intention with all our designs is to create timeless outerwear that performs at the highest level and lasts for as long as you need it. Made for anywhere it rains.

Materials

The fabric we use is manufactured by a leading Japanese textile developer. All our jackets are made with a PFC free Durable Water Repellent (DWR) and are Bluesign or Öeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.

Environment

All Thach products are made from recycled materials. Small batch orders ensure the highest quality is achieved and waste is kept to a minimum while manufacturing in Europe helps us reduce our carbon footprint.

Quality

Thach jackets are highly waterproof, breathable and durable. Built for harsh Northern European conditions our jackets hold a 20,000mm waterproofing and 20,000 g/m2/24h breathability rating.

Sustainability

We’ll recycle or re-home your unwanted garments. If your jacket becomes damaged over time or if you’ve simply outgrown it, please contact our support team. We’ll arrange shipping and gift you a 10% discount to say thank you.
